I don't normally write much in my blog posts (or anything at all, I'm a terrible writer!). This session deserves so much more. Shannon and Ryan made my heart grow, they wanted to use their session to create something positive, so when they pitched their idea to me I jumped for joy. Their kind hearts inspired all of the vendors for the day. We started their session by featuring adoptable dogs who were residing at the Humane Animal Rescue at the East End. The pair picked the three oldest/longest residents, Loki, Panda and Tina. They stole our hearts, and the thought of these photos helping get them homes makes me so happy. Shannon's amazing hair and make up artist, Lee Ann from At Home Beauty, was so inspired by their idea that she contacted local shops and put together a large donation of toys and treats for the dogs at the shelter, while I donated part of their session fee to help spay/neuter a homeless animal.
After hanging out with these amazing dogs, playing with them and letting them roll in the grass, we headed to OTB in the South Side where the pair met and later where Ryan proposed! They had drinks and a little break for some food before we headed to the last part of their session.
After a charitable location, and a sentimental location, the pair got glammed up and headed downtown for some sleek, chic shots at the Pennsylvanian and along the North Shore. At each location this pair killed it, every second they were just radiating love and even with the more serious, upscale vibe at the end of the shoot, they still had sweet moments dancing together and laughing.
